The back pocket turns into a stuff sack

A reversible zipper on the rear pocket. Turn it inside out and the whole liner packs into it, so it goes in a tail bag when the day warms up.

A pocket for the cable you're always chasing

A hook-and-loop pocket inside each ankle, sized for the lead running down to heated socks or insoles. Nothing swinging, nothing snagging on the peg.

FAQ

Can I get my $10 back?

Any time before launch, email us and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.

At launch your $10 turns into the three Founder benefits — your $50 code, lifetime heating element coverage and the free 3-Way cable. If you'd rather have the $10 back at that point, we can still do it, but the benefits go with it: we deactivate the code and remove the Founder coverage from your account, then refund the $10. Once the code has been used on an order, the reservation is no longer refundable.

Do I get $100 off if I buy both?

No. It's $50 off your order, one time, whether you buy one piece or both. If you intend to buy both, please reserve twice.

Do I need to buy anything else?

No. Both liners ship with the Y cable set and inline fuse. Heat control is built into the garment.

Can I wear these on their own?

They're mid-layers. They go under your riding jacket and pants, over a thin base layer.

Will it drain my battery?

Not while you're riding, on most bikes. With the engine running, your charging system powers the liners and tops up the battery at the same time. With both pieces on, Apex™ draws about 80W (6.67A at 12V) — roughly half what many heated sets pull.

To check your own bike: your stator output needs to cover what the bike already uses plus the heated gear. For example, a 300W stator with 140W of stock load leaves 160W to spare — plenty for Apex™'s 80W. A 154W heated set would fit too, but with almost nothing left over.

Two things to watch: on smaller or older bikes, long stretches of idling can still run the battery down, so drop to a lower level or run one piece. And never leave the heat on with the engine off — with nothing charging, it will drain the battery fast.
