Photographer and content creator Jasmine Flores thrives in the outdoors, capturing landscapes from frost-covered ridges to desert dunes. With Venustas, she stays warm during early morning starts and long shoots, allowing her to focus on every detail without being distracted by the cold. For Jasmine, the gear is more than warmth, it helps her stay present and fully experience the moments she sets out to capture.
Jasmine Flores is a photographer and content creator based in the United States. You’ll often find her climbing frost-covered ridges at sunrise, exploring ice caves, or hiking desert dunes with her camera. She’s also part of the Venustas V+ Master program, a community of creators who share their outdoor adventures while testing and showcasing real-world gear.
Jasmine spends most of her time outdoors, exploring mountains, forests, and quiet corners of the world through her lens. Her work focuses on outdoor lifestyle, and she often shares authentic experiences from the field with her audience. “I love spending my time outdoors, exploring trails and capturing real-life outdoor moments,” she says.
For Jasmine, being outside is a natural part of both work and life, whether moving between trails, setting up shots, piloting a drone, or planning her next adventure. In colder seasons, staying outdoors is not just about comfort. It affects how long she can keep shooting. “Cold conditions often determine how long I can stay on a shoot,” she explains. “Sometimes I need to stay outside longer because of light and timing.” For her, the challenge isn’t just the cold itself, it’s what the cold interrupts.

Most of Jasmine’s days start early, often before the sun fully reaches the landscape she is photographing. The air is crisp, and frost sometimes covers the ground. Every step on the trail is deliberate, as she balances carrying gear and staying quiet for the shots ahead. Even a few minutes outside can make a difference in how the rest of the shoot unfolds.
During these moments, she wears the Venustas Heated Vest, W2118. It keeps her core warm without feeling bulky, letting her focus on the shots rather than the chill. Jasmine shares, “The vest is my go-to for chilly mornings. It keeps my core warm without feeling too heavy, especially as the day warms up. It’s subtle, but it makes a big difference when I’m hiking and setting up shots.”

As the day continues, Jasmine often finds herself deeper in outdoor environments, staying in one position for long stretches. The cold builds gradually, slowing hand movements and making small adjustments more difficult. Even simple tasks, like changing camera settings, can start to feel less precise.
This is where the Venustas Heated Gloves, G02 and Heated Jacket, W20 come in. She notes, “The jacket is perfect for really cold days when I’m outdoors or around camp and need that extra full-body warmth. It becomes especially useful when wind picks up or when temperatures drop during long static shots, helping me stay in position without breaking focus.” The gloves allow her to continue working directly with her camera instead of stepping away repeatedly to warm her hands. “Even if my hands get cold for a moment, I can warm them up quickly and continue shooting without losing the moment.”
Even small delays caused by cold could mean missing the perfect shot. Venustas gear keeps her in the moment.

One of the clearest examples of the difference heated apparel makes came during a long outdoor shoot. Conditions shifted faster than expected. Temperatures dropped, and the final light she had been waiting for was approaching.
Instead of cutting the shoot short, Jasmine stayed out to finish. The heated vest, jacket, and gloves kept her steady and focused, allowing her to hold positions through the final moments of light. She says, “It keeps me comfortable enough that I can stay focused on what I’m doing instead of thinking about the cold.”
Over time, Venustas Heated Hoodie, U2138 has become more than gear. It’s a companion in every outdoor moment. “It already feels warmer than most hoodies even without heating. With heating on, it feels like a constant, even warmth, almost like a warm hug.” It moves easily between indoor planning and outdoor shooting. With continued use, it no longer feels like specialized equipment, it simply becomes part of how she works.
For Jasmine, spending time outdoors has never been about perfect weather or ideal conditions. Some mornings are colder than expected. Some hikes take longer than planned. Sometimes the light arrives much later than hoped for.
But those moments are part of why she keeps going back. Photography gives her a reason to slow down, stay present, and notice details that might otherwise be missed—a quiet trail before sunrise, the last minutes of fading light, the feeling of a landscape slowly changing.
She says, “The goal isn’t really to avoid the cold. It’s being able to stay outside long enough to experience what you came for.” For her, the extra warmth is not what matters most. What matters is having a little more time to keep exploring, keep creating, and stay for the moments that matter.
