Built for the cold where an everyday heated vest gives up. 4 times the heating power, 6 zones front and back, sealed in a windproof three-layer shell.
Two scenarios, six hours outside. The gap opens when the temperature drops, the wind picks up and you stop moving.
Around 41°F (5°C), light wind, moving
Down to −40° ℉, on the ice, on a sled, on a job site
Volcano™
Standard Heated Vest
*Shows how warm it feels over time, not heating-element temperature.
Built for −40°F to 41°F
Every heated vest can reach a top temperature. The question is whether it can hold it while the cold pulls heat away. Volcano puts 38W behind the same 144°F, four times what our everyday vests deliver.
Up to
4X More Heat
Collar. Both sides of the chest. Both sides of the upper back. And all the way across the lower back. The largest heating area we've built into a vest.
Heat only helps if it stays in. The shell stops wind, rain and snow on the outside, and the fleece & Graphene lining holds the warmth on the inside.

75D stretch polyester bonded to a TPU membrane and a fleece backing. Wind is what turns cold into dangerous cold, so it stops at the outside.
Graphene carries warmth evenly across each zone instead of leaving hot lines and cold gaps.
A fleece-lined stand collar with a chin guard, and a dropped hem that stays over your lower back when you lean forward.
An athletic cut keeps the lining against you, where heat transfers best, and still fits under your shell.
ALSO RUNS ON 12V
The lead is built into the left pocket. Add the Y cable set and the vest runs off the vehicle, with no limit on the day. Y cable set sold separately.
Year after year, the riders, anglers and crews who stayed out longest told us the same thing: more heat when it really gets cold. Volcano™ is our answer.
Where a gloved hand finds it through a shell, with nothing lit up on your front.
Brushed fleece on the back of the hand, graphene lining on the palm side.
Keeps your phone close to the heat, where its battery lasts longer.
Soft fleece and a chin guard where the cold reaches you first.
Wide enough for a spare pair of gloves, opening from either hand.
It depends on how cold your cold gets.

FAQ
Volcano™ can work well as a mid-layer, so it should sit close over a base layer without pulling. Check the chart above against your chest measurement; if you're between sizes and plan to wear a thick base layer, take the larger one.
On the two included batteries: about 4 hours on high, 6 on medium, 11 on low. Plugged into a 12V vehicle supply there's no limit.
Yes. Each Volcano™ battery is rated at 54Wh, which is below the FAA’s 100Wh limit for lithium-ion batteries. Two batteries can be carried for personal use. Spare batteries must be packed in your carry-on baggage and protected against short circuits. Airline policies may vary, so we recommend checking with your airline before travel.
Three years on the heating elements and one year on the batteries, from the date of purchase. Founder Pass holders who reserved before launch have lifetime coverage on the heating elements instead.
Not to wear Volcano™. It runs on the two batteries in the box. The Y cable set ($17.99, sold separately) is only for running the vest off your motorcycle’s or snowmobile’s 12V power. It plugs into the lead in the left hand pocket.
Not while you’re riding, as long as your charging system has room to spare. Volcano™ needs 38W (about 3.4A). To check, find your stator or charging output in the owner’s manual and subtract what the vehicle already uses. For example, a 300W stator with 140W of stock load leaves 160W, plenty for Volcano™. Turn the vest off when the engine is off, since it draws straight from the battery. Long idling on small or older bikes can also run the battery down.
Remove the batteries first. Gentle machine wash on low speed in cold water, then hang or tumble dry. No dry cleaning, bleaching, ironing or wringing.
